A massive 9000mAh capacity Lithium Polymer batter delivers real power in a compact, durable shell in the newly upgraded Powermonkey Extreme. This compact unit can charge most 5V devices, including iPhones and smartphones up to 4 times, a Garmin Edge 800 up to 6 times, and an iPad up to 2 times!
New for 2013 the 5V USB socket remains, but the DC port has been upgraded to 12V output, now allowing you to charge SLR camera batteries, portable DVD players and more directly from the unit - while remaining lightweight and compact enough for even the most space-savvy adventurer. The 2013 model also includes a female in-car socket for use with in-car chargers.
Waterproof for 30 minutes up to 1 meter and shock resistant, the Powermonkey is the perfect outdoor companion, that can go wherever you do and keep your gear running while you're at it.
The Powermonkey unit can be recharged three ways: using the universal mains charger, using the solar panel, or via USB. When charging the LCD screen will be red, once fully charged the screen will turn green. When the unit is in use, the screen will be blue. Full recharge within 18-22 hours in optimum light conditions. Use the solar panel to charge the Powermonkey unit while simultaneously charging devices. Low static wastage means the unit can be left sitting for up to a year while maintaining 75% of a full charge!
