Sealskinz Socks

Sealskinz socks are designed to protect your feet and hands from wet and cold weather. If you like to run, bike, hike or kayak when the water is a bit chilly and temperature is a little cold, you'll want to make sure you have a pair of Sealskinz socks on your feet. Add a pair of Smartwool Liner socks and your feet will be extra toasty. A seamless construction helps to prevent blisters and chafing.

The 3 Layers of Sealskinz socks and gloves

Outer Layer: Abrasion resistant nylon/lycra. This makes the sock very durable and forms to the shape of your foot and prevents slipping down.

Middle Layer: A waterproof membrane lets perspiration out without letting water in.

Inner Layer: Dupont fabric wicks moisture away from the skin. Coolmax fiber increases the surface area to speed up evaporation.

Most Popular Sealskinz socks:

All Season Sock: A mid-calf sock ( 11" ) ideal for wearing in hiking boots or running shoes.

Waterblocker Sock: A 14" high sock that has an in-cuff seal that blocks water from entering over the top of the sock, even when wading through deeper water.

Each sock is pressure tested to make sure there are no leaks but here are some tips on how to take care of your socks:

  • Tumble wash or hand wash your socks and gloves.
  • Do not use the dryer, especially with the Waterblocker Sock that has the in-cuff gasket. High heat is not good for this membrane.
  • Flip your socks and gloves inside out to hang dry.
  • Do not walk on the ground with just your socks as twigs, pine needles and sharp stone may damage the sock's membrane.

Try a pair on! You'll love them. They're not bulky or uncomfortable, in fact you hardly know they're on your feet which makes them so enjoyable. Your friends may bug you for wearing the most expensive socks on the trail but they'll be in the shop picking up a pair for next time when they see how well they work!
